Waltz Time is offering two waltz workshops on Sunday, June 10, with Peggy Leiby and Ret Turner, who teach and sponsor waltzes in Philadelphia. Coming soon to a ballroom near you–the annual Strauss Waltz Ball and Benefit Dance for Glen Echo Park Partnership! Music by OLDE VIENNA: Elke Baker (violin, viola), Andrea Vercoe (violin), David Wiesler (piano), Barbara Heitz (flute, piccolo) and Ralph Gordon (bass). Viennese waltz lesson with Mike Marcotte at 8 pm, followed by dancing (waltz, polka, tango and schottische) until midnight. The evening includes the traditional Grand March, dance cards and refreshments. Evening attire recommended, but certainly not mandatory. Admission $30/person at the door (no advance ticket sales), cash or check. Carousel rides 8:30-10:30 pm ($1.25/ride). ALL are welcome!
